During Monday’s Montrose County’s Board of Commissioners meeting, Dave Laursen from the Planning Commission addressed the commissioners and brought them up to date on the progress of the Master Plan.  Much work had been completed and he said as a result there are 260 action items that will be presented to the Commission for their approval.

The Norwood School District Advisory and Accountability Committee recently compiled the results of the Norwood School Teacher and paraprofessional survey. And according to a report from the Norwood Post the results were somewhat surprising.  A majority of the faculty felt the school is a supportive and inviting place for them to work.  Only 6 per cent voted negatively.  The purpose of the survey was to find out what teachers feel are schools main strengths and weaknesses.

A longstanding dispute over the sale of water from the Dallas Creek project was finally resolved this past month. According to the Delta County Independent the agreement has Tri-County Water paying the city of Delta $25,255, Montrose $81,300 and Olathe $464.  Thanks to the help of mediators all entities involved in this dispute agreed on how the issue should be resolved now and going into the future….
