There will be a benefit auction for Kaleb and Addison Barcellos this Sunday at the Hitchin’ Post in Norwood. Items can still be donated to the auction by calling Robin Andrews at 327-4505. Sunday’s event begins at 2 o’clock.

For the auction, items can be dropped off at the Hitchin’ Post the morning of the auction or you can arrange a pickup with Robin. They will accept items that are in good working order.

There has been an account set up at US Bank for the Barcellos children.

The family appreciates all items and cash donations, and would also like to ask that you pick up any items that don’t sell by Tuesday March 2, or they will re-donate them or take them to the Take It Or Leave It box.

The special meeting that was to be held by Delta City Council tomorrow has been canceled. The meeting was the publicly announce the new City Manager. This will now take place at next week’s regular meeting.

A search team says it has found the body of a skier who was apparently caught in an avalanche yesterday in the backcountry outside Aspen. The Pitkin County Sheriff’s Department says the victim was found this morning. The avalanche struck at about 4 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities say the skier was in a group of 8, and all had backcountry experience. They tried to find the missing skier but couldn’t.
