Police are investigating another shooting in Grand Junction that went down late last night. Authorities were called to a home on Texas Avenue on a report of a verbal fight between a man and a woman. Upon arrival, the man was found shot in the street. He’s currently in serious condition. A male suspect was found a short time later. No names have been released at this time.
Around midnight, there was a major rockslide on I-70 in Glenwood Canyon, just west of the Hanging Lake Tunnel. The slide has caused two large holes in the westbound lanes and there are still larger boulders blocking all lanes. Currently the highway is closed between Dotsero and Glenwood Springs and will remain closed until further notice. Alternate routes – US 50, CO 13/US 40. Please travel accordingly.

A Telluride woman was found dead last week floating in a hot spring. Fifty-year-old Theresa Powell was discovered face-down Friday morning in Orvis Hot Springs, in Ridgway. Powell signed in to the front desk at the spa resort Thursday afternoon and was last seen by other guests just before midnight. Authorities don’t suspect foul play but say alcohol was involved in her death. An autopsy is pending.

Purgatory at Durango Mountain Resort has taken out an $8.85 million dollar loan to refinance debt and make improvements on the ski mountain. According to the Durango Herald, the resort is planning to create a dirt base for its terrain park so the park won’t need as much snow to open, and it is considering adding trails and unspecified summer amenities. The resort is on track to surpass last year’s visitor numbers.

Residents between Delta and Austin were out of power for 45 minutes over the weekend. DMEA says a tree limb fell, causing the outage around 9:15 Saturday night. Over 80 DMEA customers were affected.
