Next week Ride the Rockies will make one of its pit stops in Ouray and City staff and 150 or so volunteers will be ready for them. Many have been preparing for this day since January in order to ensure the cyclists have a great experience when they stop over on Tues., June 15th. According to The Watch this is the first time in 25 years that Ouray has had an opportunity to be a host city. Rick Noll, the city resources director, said city staff and residents have high hopes for the approximate 3,000 cyclists planning to spend the night.

Coverage is back for Verizon Wireless customers. KJCT says that after spotty coverage for some 26 hours Verizon has given its customers credit for lost service. Company reps have said that customers will be able to get their money back for lost time. Cellphone users will have up to six months to make their complaint. Howerver, for some who have already lost time and money because of the outage, the credit might be too little too late.
