One of the complaining witnesses in last month’s drive-by shooting obtained permanent civil restraining orders against the suspects on Wednesday. The Daily Press reports the suspects are Oscar Rodriguez, Saul Madrid and Angel Mahedas.  They’ve been accused of  firing at a 17 yr old and Randy Vette as they drove down South River Road in a Blazer on Sept. 19th.  A criminal protection order in this case prohibits the suspects from contacting the alleged victims during the proceedings and this added civil order bars them from contacting Richard Vette for at least 4 years.   They are also prohibited from possessing weapons or ammunition….

Frederick Provenzano from Glenwood Springs has  pled guilty to five counts of passing counterfeit currency according to  U.S. Attorney John Walsh and U.S. Secret Service Special Agent in Charge Daniel Donahue. The guilty plea was tendered before U.S. District Court Judge Robert E. Blackburn.  Provenzano is scheduled to be sentenced by Judge Blackburn on February 25, 2011.  The defendant is free on a $10,000 unsecured bond.  Frederick Provenzano was indicted by a federal grand jury in Denver on January 27, 2010.

Just before midnight on October 7 members of the Western Colorado Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on a house at 401 1/2 Rana Ct #A in Grand Junction. The search resulted in the arrest of 28-year-old Josefat Carrasco and four other people. Task Force Officers found cocaine and marijuana, as well as numerous weapons inside the home, and other controlled substances. Carrasco, 36-year-old Michael Gallegos and 24-year-old Carlos Villalobos face charges including possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of a dangerous weapon.  28-year-old Adam Jetter and 26-year-old Cody Smith were arrested and released on summonses in connection with possession of suspected anabolic steroids, which is a misdemeanor.

At approximately 6:14 p.m. last night, deputies and detectives from the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael Scott Bilotta, 28, at his residence (4904 County Road 154) for possession/distribution of child pornography. They booked him into the Garfield County Jail within the hour on one felony count of sexual exploitation of children.
