Elementary schools are not the only learning institutions feeling the budget crunch.  Caryn Gibson, director of Delta Montrose Technical College explained to Mountain Valley News that they are expecting to take a 14.7 per cent cut.  That translates into about $145 thousand loss in state funding for the college.  Now she’s forced to ask the Delta County School Board to raise tuition at the college.  DMTC is not the only technical school affected.  Other technical college directors are also expected similar cuts and will have to raise their tuition by 5 to 10 per cent. The school board has approved DMTC’s request to raise their tuition….
