DENVER – Recently Energy Fuels was awarded its radioactive materials license from the state health department regarding the proposed Pinon Ridge Uranium Mill in western Montrose County. But, the Daily Planet reports that from now through April 8th, the EPA intends on conducting another public comment session regarding specifically uranium waste storage. Telluride-based Sheep Mountain Alliance is in a fight with both the state and Energy Fuels accusing state regulators of violating federal and state laws in the run up to approving the mill and ignoring dangers to air and water quality.
Comments can be submitted through April 8, 2011 to email@example.com. Any comments related to the actions taken by CDPHE on the approval of the Energy Fuels radioactive material license should be addressed to CDPHE.
