GRAND JUNCTION – Mesa State College and the Bureau of Land Management will host an open house on Wednesday March 30, 2011, to solicit feedback from the public on Mesa State’s proposal to acquire approximately 80 acres in the Whitewater Hill area from the Bureau of Land Management to construct a Regional Public Safety Training Facility.  Mesa State College, Mesa County and the City of Grand Junction have joined forces to work with the Bureau of Land Management Grand Junction Field Office to acquire the property under the Recreation and Public Purposes Act.
