Montrose Homeless Shelter a Real Possibility

MONTROSE  -  For a long time now Carolyn Carter had dreamed Montrose would have a homeless shelter.  It looks as though the dream has now come true.  According to The Watch, Carter, who founded Christ’s Kitchen knows about the plight of poor people.  She has been feeding the hungry for sometime and has recently seen a dramatic increase in families with children coming to her kitchen.  She and others have been working trying to find a shelter for these families.  And now, thanks to a recent agreement with the Montrose Housing Authority, the Olathe Dormitory, originally built for farm workers, will soon become home to these needy families.  Families who want to apply to live in this facility must first fill out an application and are invited to an orientation on April 11th from 4:30pm to 6:30pm at the facility at 4806 N. River Road in Olathe….
