DENVER  -  The Bureau of Land Management plans a series of hearings in the West on the impacts of oil shale development.  The Daily Sentinel writes that the hearings will begin tomorrow in Utah.  These hearings were prompted by Secretary Ken Salazar wanting to take another look at a federal oil shale plan that was released back in 2008 during the Bush Administration.  That plan would open 2 million acres of Western public lands to oil shale research and development.  Hearings are also planned in Colorado on May 3rd in Rifle and May 4th in Denver….
