DELTA  -  The City of Delta is in the final stages of negotiations for a 56.5 acre parcel of land which adjoins both the city-owned Cottonwood property and the Gunnison River.  City Manager Joe Kerby told The Delta County Independent that city council has approved the purchase but some details need to be worked out.  The asking price is $250 thousand which will be funded from payment in lieu of parks fees, the Conservation Trust Fund, and the city’s solid waste fund….
