DELTA  -  Governor John Hickenlooper has signed a bill to increase revenue to help fund schools and to make the state’s tax system more transparent and accountable. The bill’s sponsor Senator Pat Steadman (D-Denver), hopes this will generate an estimated $9.5 million to help reduce cuts in education. This revenue will be generated by providing Colorado businesses and families who have fallen behind on their taxes a brief period of tax amnesty from October 1 through November 15 of this year.
