MONTROSE  -  The Montrose County Department of Motor Vehicle would like its customers to know they are working to serve everyone in a professional and timely manner and ask for customer’s patience as the department operates with less staff  due to budget constraints and the county-wide hiring freeze .  The Montrose County Dept. of Motor Vehicle is making every attempt to serve everyone but ask for customer patience as they make a variety of adjustments.  Some upcoming changes include, an express lane for renewals only, the department is cross training a staff member from the Elections office to work in the Motor Vehicle Department during peak hours which are usually Monday through Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. On average the typical wait time can be 10 minutes during these hours. The Motor Vehicle Department would like you to know that you can renew online if your registration has not expired.  Visit their site at www.colorado.gov
