LOMA  -  A massive tree floating down the river led authorities to shut down  I-70. Yesterday afternoon  a tree swept away by the swift-moving Colorado River snagged some power lines that cross both the river and the highway. Xcel Energy told Newschannel 5 it was not one of their electrical lines that was damaged.  Meanwhile sheriff’s deputies were out on boats clearing the river and making sure no rafters were in the vicinity.  The entire highway was shut down for about 15 minutes while crews cut the line.
