Colorado Considering Regulations for Medicare

Colorado is joining a number of states that are expressing concerns over proposed new federal rules that could limit states’ ability to lower Medicaid reimbursement rates because of budgetary problems. According to the Daily Sentinel last May, the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services announced that it was considering the regulations, concerned that if states lowered reimbursement rates, they would be out of compliance with federal regulations.
