Paonia Man To Have Mental Health Evaluation

PAONIA  -  A Paonia man accused of killing his wife back in January will have a mental health evaluation this month.  KJCT reports that in May Nathan Yager pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.  He turned himself in to the Montrose Police Dept. after his wife’s body was found near the railroad tracks off of Delta Ave. in January.   Police say the couple was in the middle of a divorce. According to the arrest affidavit, both Melinda and Nathan Yager had attended a restraining order proceeding earlier that afternoon in Delta County Court….
