The Delta Montrose Electric Association accepted a grant from USDA Rural Development to help local businesses become more energy efficient. The grant was for a little more than $97 thousand dollars and will go towards several local business energy audits. DEMA Energy Services Supervisor Phil Zimmer says that the audits will help businesses identify how to save money on their energy bill. The audit will also point out the return on investment on the improvements. Applications for businesses to be audited will be online on DMEA’s website soon.
