GLENWOOD SPRINGS - Outside Glenwood Springs yesterday Garfield County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence in the West Bank Subdivision to conduct a Welfare Check. When deputies arrived a man in the house fired several shots, some of which struck the patrol car. The deputy was able to take cover behind his vehicle and was uninjured. Negotiators were able to get the man out of the house without incident. The man, 61 year old Craig Dance was eventually taken into custody and the charges against him will be released later. The Garfield County Sheriff’s Office says nobody was hurt in the altercation….
