Winter Storm Closes Interstate And Strands Travelers

DENVER - A fierce winter storm raged through the Great Plains and the southest part of Colorado leaving drifts up to 10 ft high and many travelers stranded. State Patrol officer Nate Reid said 15 inched of snow fell in Baca County and the storm resulted in several accidents including one that involved a tractor-trailer which prompted the closure of southbound I-25 south of Pueblo. That accident also left one individual injuried. Transportation officials say hotels up and down the I-25 corridor in the southeast part of the state are full of stranded travelers….
