Colorado Snowpack Lowest in 10 Years

Currently Colorado’s snow pack is the lowest in 10 years.  But since last winter’s snows were exceptional, the effects have not be too noticeable.  However, ski resorts definitely have seen a difference.  According to Colorado’s SNOTEL network, the state is running at 66% of normal and the Gunnison River basin is at 60%.  For now areas are well behind for this time of year leaving officials to hope for a snowy late winter and spring.  Last year’s record late-seasons snow-pack is one reason that no one is panicking yet…..
