To help generate money for higher education State Rep. Don Coram will present legislation that would allow video lottery terminals at strategic locations. It is an uphill battle and Coram expects a certain amount of resistance particularly from the gaming industry. In additions to allocating funds for higher education Coram is hoping these video lottery terminals would revitalize the horse racing sport and bolster the agricultural industry which in turn supports horse racing. The Gaming Industry is concerned that Coram’s idea would compete directly with the likes of casino areas based in Cripple Creek, Black Hawk and Central City.
