Rifle residents are complaining that trucks belonging to Encana Oil and Gas are crushing culverts and wearing out roads.  Residents had been promised by the company that they would maintain private roads and will not be damaged by drilling equipment.    Encana officials say they have lived up to their promise and say crews are helping Grass Mesa residents who get stuck in adverse road conditions.  They have even gone so far as to maintain roads that are not the company’s official responsibility.
