The Colorado State House passed the state’s budget last week with a healthy margin of sixty four to one. The budget as it has been approved by the house allocates nineteen billion dollars for the state in fiscal year 2013, which starts in July. An economic report that came out last month indicated that the state would bring in around a hundred and fifty million more dollars than was expected. Governor John Hickenlooper hopes that the surplus can be put to K-12 education. Read the entire budget for yourself here.
