Smithsonian Magazine has released its annual list of best small towns in America.  And this year making it into the top ten is Durango.  It earned the 6^th spot on the list.  When Smithsonian Magazine compiles its list it takes into consideration  the town’s culture, population, and historic value.  Also on the list in this part of the country was Taos, NM.  Rounding out the top five are Gig Harbor, Wash, Mill Valley, Calif, Red Bank, N.J., and Great Barrington, Mass.
