The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office is looking into a bank robbery that happened yesterday afternoon in Clifton. At four yesterday afternoon a white male in his late forties robbed the Alpine Bank on the I-70 business loop in Clifton. The man fled the scene in an older model blue Subaru hatchback and was wearing a ball cap, tan shorts and a blue shirt. The FBI is assisting in the investigation and the amount taken has not been disclosed. No customers were in the bank at the time and no one was injured. If you have information about the robbery call 911 and more information will be released as the investigation continues.
