Last night during the City Council meeting, the City of Montrose Community Development Achievement Awards were presented.  CDA winners included Bright Beginnings Pre School and Childcare who won in the Commercial and Landscaping Project category.  Rosemont Baptist Church won in the Residential Project Category, the Non-Profit Category CDA award went to Living Word Lutheran Church and for the best Sustainability Project, that went to the business ReDone It and More  who totally renovated an old gas station into a retail store.  Also during the meeting Council approved a motion to close Main St. from Townsend to Uncompahgre on Sat. May 19^th from 6am to 2pm for the Great Highway 50 Yard Sale.
