A bill is working its way onto the Colorado State House floor which would allow same sex civil unions. The bill was passed by the House Finance Committee on Friday by one vote. Now it will head to the house floor where republicans hold a one vote majority. Democrats and the bill’s sponsors are optimistic however because of the support of several Republican colleagues. The bill has already been passed by the Senate and could be signed into law Wednesday when the legislative session ends.
