A major airline could be coming to the Grand Junction Regional airport in the near future.  Airport Director of Aviation, Rex Tippetts, and Airport authority member Tom LaCroix spoke with Mesa County Commissioners telling them there is a carrier that has never served the Grand Junction area before interested in providing daily, non stop flights in and out of the airport.  LaCroix was not overly optimistic because he has meetings like this with airlines all the time but the possibility is there.  That’s the same way American Airlines came to serve Grand Junction.
