Yesterday afternoon a Clifton man, Lester Miranda-Davis, pleaded not guilty to 16 charges in connection with a crime spree last summer that included the shooting death of Jorge Alberto Carrasco outside Taco Bell in Grand Junction.  Miranda-Davis is scheduled for a 3 week trial in December, however, Chief Deputy District Attorney Dan Rubinstein said there is still a possibility of a plea agreement.  In addition to the Taco Bell shooting Miranda-Davis is charged with two separate counts of 1st degree murder in another case. In addition to those charges he and Jaime Cardenas, Fidel Silva, and Christian Fuentes are also charged with committing two armed robberies and a residential burglary in Grand Junction.  At this time both Cardenas and Silva remain at large.
