Yesterday afternoon a Clifton man, Lester Miranda-Davis, pleaded not guilty to 16 charges in connection with a crime spree last summer that included the shooting death of Jorge Alberto Carrasco outside Taco Bell in Grand Junction.  Miranda-Davis is scheduled for a 3 week trial in December, however, Chief Deputy District Attorney Dan Rubinstein said there is still a possibility of a plea agreement.  In addition to the Taco Bell shooting Miranda-Davis is charged with two separate counts of 1^st degree murder in another case. In addition to those charges he and Jaime Cardenas, Fidel Silva, and Christian Fuentes are also charged with committing two armed robberies and a residential burglary in Grand Junction.  At this time both Cardenas and Silva remain at large.
