Montrose County Health and Human Services received a $15,000 grant from a Colorado Philanthropic Organization. The Temple Hoyne Buell foundation gave the grant for the Kids Thrive program. The program has a nurse visit families with young kids once or twice a month to discuss child health and development. The nurses would also connect the parents with other HHS resources if needed. The program is free and available to everyone in Montrose County including residents on the West End. You can get more information about the program by calling Health and Human Services at 252-5000.
