Montrose County Health and Human Services received a $15,000 grant from a Colorado Philanthropic Organization. The Temple Hoyne Buell foundation gave the grant for the Kids Thrive program. The program has a nurse visit families with young kids once or twice a month to discuss child health and development. The nurses would also connect the parents with other HHS resources if needed.
