The Postmaster General announced yesterday that he will keep rural post offices on the Western Slope open. The announcement came as a relief for residents of rural areas where the Postal Service was planning to close post offices to save costs. In a statement Representative Scott Tipton says that he was pleased to hear that the postmaster general reversed his opinion and is now considering other cost saving measures.
