A man who was speeding along I-70 Monday night was pulled over by one of Garfield County Sheriff’s deputies.  As it turned out it was not just an ordinary traffic violation but the officer discovered the individual, Edward Hamilton, had been carrying 16 grams of heroin and a small amount of marijuana.  His car had been impounded because Hamilton was unable to show proof of insurance.  It was when deputies took inventory of the vehicle’s contents that they discovered the drugs.  Hamilton was quickly arrested and booked into the Garfield County Detention Facility.
