City of Delta has appointed  Glen Black as the interim city manager as Joe Kerby leaves to take a similar position in Durango.  Black has been the Community Development Director for the City and will be in this interim post for 4 to 6 months until the city finds a permanent replacement.  Black received approval from 4 of the 5 council members.  The one dissenting vote came from councilman Robert Jurca who said he had been interim manager before and was not impressed with how he handled the position.  However, Mayor Ed Sisson and Council woman Mary Cooper disagree.  They felt that Black has matured and would be a good fit.
