With the relentless dry, warm conditions BLM has decided to ban fires on all its lands throughout the state.  The ban will go into effect tomorrow and includes the following counties; Eagle, Garfield, Mesa, and Pitkin counties.  The ban specifically states no fires of any type will be permitted on BLM land.  The unusually dry spring has created fire danger conditions for areas at 8 thousand feet and lower.  The one exclusion is the White River National Forest.
