As the snowpack continues to quickly melt away the Town of Mountain Village is taken precautions of setting limits on water use among its residents.  The restrictions will apply to residents north of Mountain Village Blvd and Elk Run.  Those living south of Mountain Village Blvd, plus the Ski Ranches and Skyfield maybe allowed to water landscaping on Tues, Thurs, and Saturdays.  These restrictions will take effect on June 1^st.  For now water levels are not too bad, however, if dry conditions continue the state could mandate who is allowed to use water.  The state places restrictions on parts of the San Miguel River  and other rivers to protect wildlife and water rights holders.
