This Memorial Day Weekend marks the return of the annual Balloons n Varooms event in Ridgway, an event that first began in 2004.  The original site of the festival had been at Ridgway Reservoir but has since moved to Ridgway Town Park.  Officials felt moving it there would allow more tourists to visit.  More than 20 hot air balloons and 100 classic automobiles will be featured this weekend.  Musical entertainment is expected and a Saturday mass ascension is scheduled for 7am followed by a pancake breakfast.
