DMEA Holds Groundbreaking for Hydroelectric Project

On Friday DMEA held a groundbreaking ceremony for the South Canal Hydroelectric Project. The $22,000,000 project will produce five percent of DMEA’s annual consumption and will generate enough power for about three thousand homes. Representative Don Coram was at the groundbreaking.

 The Hydroelectric project is scheduled to be finished in July next year.
