There are a lot of public works projects going on in Grand Junction this summer, and one of those projects cut of water for about a dozen homes yesterday. The city workers were trying to find a location for a new water line when they drilled into the water main. Most of the residents that would have been affected by the break were not home at the time. The city is working to replace all their old water lines with new PVC lines.
