Car Crash in GJ Cuts Power to 800 Residents

A Car crash last night in Grand Junction left hundreds without power. A car had crashed into a power pole, knocking out power to about 800 homes. The driver said he had swerved to miss an animal and struck the pole, he was not injured and his passenger suffered minor injuries. Xcel Energy had to spend nearly four hours replacing the pole to restore power to the residents.
