This weekend the city council and staff members will hold a retreat so they can get to know each other a little better and do some planning for the future.  And although city councilors and city staff have been working together for a couple months there are a couple of new council members and would give them a chance to get to know the staff better.  Most importantly, according to City Manager Bill Bell, he told the Montrose Daily Press, it will give everyone an opportunity to be on the same page.  Mayor Tom Smitts alsoexplained to the Press that this retreat will be used to determine what policies and procedures could be changed or amended so the city can be more user friendly and take a pro business approach.
