Coming up tonight in Montrose and in Gunnison is the 2012 Relay for Life. The race benefits the American Cancer Society. Nearly two hundred people have signed up for the race in Montrose this year, raising more than twenty two thousand dollars. The event will begin with opening ceremonies at 6pm followed by a survival lap and a moving luminaria at about 9pm.  The entire event will take place at Montrose High School. Also tonight the race will be in Gunnison where nearly one hundred fifty people have signed up. More than twenty three thousand dollars has been raised in that race. Their schedule of events is similar to that of  Montrose and  will be held at Jorgensen Park at five.
