U.S. Forest Service To Aid Firefighters

As the fire scene kicks in to high gear extra help may be on the way for both Colorado and New Mexico as both states battle big blazes. The High Park Fire just west of Fort Collins is burning 20 thousand acres and remains out of control and the biggest fire in New Mexico’s history is still raging down there. So the U.S. Forest Service has arranged to send five heavy (Type 1) helicopters for wildfire suppression to all areas that need it.
