A Cedaredge Teenager is in the hospital with second degree burns after trying to warn his neighbors from a small wildfire. 15 year old JD TenNapel, who will be a freshman at Montrose High School in the fall, rushed to warn his neighbors of the fire on an ATV. TenNaple turned back after he realized that he wouldn’t be able to make it back out of the fire with his neighbor, and returned to wait for firefighters, who rescued the woman. In his attempt, TenNaple sustained second degree burns to his arms, back and legs. An anonymous doctor is sponsoring his transfer to a burn unit in Sacramento, California today.
