As of noon today both the indoor and outdoor pools at the Aquatic Center have shut down because of mechanical problems.  In the outdoor pool, the motor casing on the circulation pump broke and is preventing the water from being circulated and filtered.  Earlier today a circulation pump for the indoor pool started malfunctioning and it too had to be closed down.  These pools had to be closed down to ensure public safety and keep in compliance with State law.  The rest of the facility will remain open including the multi-purpose rooms and administrative offices.
