With conditions like a tinderbox here on the western slope and a red flag warning in place a ban has been placed on fireworks in Colorado.  Authorities are making every attempt to enforce that ban  but in spite of those efforts stores and roadside stands all over still selling them.  Police and firefighters will be out in force by order of the governor to ban their use.  Violators could be fined up to $1 thousand and held liable for any damage they cause.
