Primary Elections Today

The State Republican Primary voting period closes today. The primary elections will decide the Republican candidates for County Commissioner, the CU Regent at Large, State Representative candidate and the candidate for US House of Representatives. Running in Montrose County for County Commissioner in District 1 are incumbent Ron Henderson and challenger Ed Ulibarri. In District 3 Jim Haugsness is challenging incumbent David White. Running for University of Colorado Regent at Large are Matt Arnold and Brian Davidson. All other races are unopposed. The Democratic, Libertarian and American Constitution primaries are also today, and you can find a list of those candidates, most of which are running unopposed, at www.montrosecounty.net. Ballots must be received by the Clerk and Recorder by 7:00 PM tonight. You can drop off ballots all the way to the deadline tonight at the Clerk and Recorder’s office in the old courthouse.
