The Uncompahgre Plateau may soon get a new camping ground as construction will soon begin near Columbine Pass.  The Watch explains that this new camp ground will offer anywhere from 25 to 30 campsites, parking facilities and restrooms.  It will also be a strategic  starting point for off road vehicles allowing easy access to nearby trails.   This facility will meet both the needs of the adventurists as well environmentalists.   The new campground is expected to cover over 100 acres at a cost of about $200 thousand and will be situated next to another campground site.
