In connection with the Pine Ridge Fire by DeBeque, oil and gas companies have closed all their wells in that area for obvious safety precautions.  So far, 35 well pads within 5 miles of the wildfire have shut down as of yesterday afternoon.  One company, Encana, shut its single well in that area and is working closely with the BLM throughout the process.  BLM has also ordered other businesses with oil and gas operations to close its wells on BLM lands through the state.
