Although firefighters are making progress on just about all the fires in the state, Colorado will be getting some assistance from Alaska as they send 100 firefighters to help out.  A spokeswoman from the Alaska Incident Management Team said Colorado had requested fire crews to assist them.  For Alaskan firefighters this has been a light season.  Unlike Colorado they’re only battling two fires in their state right now.  So they have no problem offering manpower to Colorado.
