The 7^th Judicial District Nominating Commission will meet July 24^th at the Montrose County Courthouse in an effort to fill judge seat which will be vacated when the honorable Jerry Montgomery resigns.  During this period the Nomination Committee will conduct interviews and select nominees for appointment by the governor to the office of county judge for Montrose County.  The initial term of office for a county judge is a provisional two year term, after that  if the judge is retained by voters he will hold the position for a term of 4 years.
